Understanding Soil Fertility and Biology for Production and Conservation

Topics will include:
- the fundamentals of soil biology, fertility, and pH
- managing the nutrients in your soil
- cultivating organic matter over time
- real-life farm scenarios
- the cost of managing your soil organic matter — and the cost of NOT managing it
- how to employ specific NRCS-approved conservation practices to improve your soil and enhance production
Arrive at 7:30am to sign in and meet with other farmers. Workshop begins promptly at 8:00am.
