Workshop: Soil Erosion and Compaction
From The Piney Woods School Workshop Series
Learn about the forces that create soil erosion and compaction on the farm and how to control them.
Topics will include:
- recognizing different types of soil erosion
- understanding how natural forces and animal activities contribute to erosion and compaction
- understanding how planting practices and human activities contribute to erosion and compaction
- real-life farm scenarios
- how to employ specific NRCS-approved conservation practices to prevent and control erosion and compaction
Arrive at 9am to sign in and meet with other farmers. Workshop begins promptly at 9:30. Lunch will be served!
